DoubleShot: tea and coffee from Malawi

DoubleShot is a new partnership between some people with drinking problems. Alain de Assis Rosa is the creator of and blender of teabox cc and mate del sol, niche specialty tea companies, and Alex C Kay, the scion of one of the most progressive tea and coffee estates on the continent based in Malawi.

The result is a partnership that will bridge from seed to cup and spans from the 1920s, when Livingston first brought some of the original tea trees to the Thylo mountains to the modern cutting edge specialty tea and coffee from the estate and the blends we will be creating.

The vision of doubleshot is to create an artisanal roastery and tea blending store that will offer the finest & rarest coffees and teas from around the world. The Juta Street store will be an experiential environment offering classes, education and fresh seasonal coffee and teas.

The store will offer retail goods, and drinks for customers, and ongoing education for wholesale customers. Courses run in conjuction with some of the hotel schools will offer formal training to those looking to enrich their tea and coffee experience or take it to the professional level.
