Braamfontein landmark put up for sale
2012-02-03 - Global property services firm Jones Lang LaSalle reports it has called for tenders for the sale of the prominent Johannesburg landmark, Jorissen Place.
The salmon-hued building boasts 28 000 m2 of office space, 630 m2 of retail area and 563 basement parking bays. It occupies an entire city block bounded by Jorissen, Bertha, De Beer and De Korte streets in the regenerated area of Braamfontein.

Dance Umbrella 2012
2012-01-30 - Dance Umbrella 2012, principally funded by the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund, is scheduled to run from February 17 to March 4, 2012. 2012-01-30 - In line with its undertaking to deliver quality education, Wits University is involved in an initiative that will facilitate access to laptops for every student, preferably through ownership, although short-term rental facilities are also in place.
The Student Computers and Networks initiative (SCAN) will allow students easy access to e-learning materials, enhance the overall learning experience and entrench the culture of belonging to persistent learning communities. Within SCAN is the national Student Laptop Initiative, where Wits has joined forces with 12 other universities to secure greater discounts for students.
